Adela Măntescu is the Educational Coordinator at ICHB High School, Head of the English Department, and an English teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Philology, a Master’s Degree in Didactics and Teaching Methodology, a B.A. in English and French, a Cambridge CELTA Certificate, and a Harvard Leadership Certificate.
She specialises in advanced English and exam preparation, teaching Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE), Cambridge C2 Proficiency (CPE), and IELTS courses. Throughout her career, she has helped hundreds of students achieve excellent results in these internationally recognised examinations.
Her classes combine modern teaching methods, differentiated instruction, personalised content, and a growth mindset approach. She sets high standards and encourages every student to continually surpass their own expectations through consistent effort, discipline, responsibility, and academic rigour.
Adela believes that learning can become child’s play when students discover the joy of critical thinking and learn to appreciate the logic and structure behind examination tasks. She helps them develop confidence and proficiency across Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.
