Edmira Sertel is an English language educator, Cambridge exam preparation specialist, and teacher trainer with over 15 years of international teaching experience. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education, is Cambridge DELTA-qualified and CELTA-certified, and has specialist expertise in Teaching Examination Classes. Her DELTA—an advanced international qualification for experienced English language professionals from Cambridge University Press and Assessment—reflects her expertise in language teaching, assessment, course design, and learner development.
She has extensive experience in English language and examination preparation across levels, including Cambridge B1 Preliminary (PET), B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), and IELTS. Her current courses focus on B1 Preliminary, B2 First, and C1 Advanced, with each group intentionally limited to a maximum of 10 students, allowing for greater individual attention, more speaking time, personalised feedback, and closer support.
Edmira’s lessons combine communicative language teaching, differentiated instruction, exam-focused strategies, and purposeful practice. Rather than simply memorising rules or examination techniques, students learn to understand how English works and use it confidently and effectively.
With extensive experience teaching children and teenagers, Edmira believes that high expectations and encouragement should go hand in hand. Beyond the classroom, she is passionate about teacher development and international education, with experience in mentoring educators, coordinating educational initiatives, and contributing to professional development events and conferences.
